Amazon Echo Show YouTube support was removed from the device after a dispute between Google and Amazon roughly two month ago. Today support for playing YouTube videos has now returned to the Amazon Echo Show visual personal assistant. As well as reenabling support for YouTube, Amazon has also added support for Vimeo and Dailymotion and Amazon says it will be adding more video sources over time to the Echo Show.

According to Google and the reason for support being removed was Amazon’simplementation of YouTube on the Echo violated their terms of service and created a broken user experience. The new implementation now includes a different user interface that resembles the desktop version of the YouTube site.
