If the company continues its tradition of launching smartphones, we might see a bigger variant with the unannounced Snapdragon 670 chipset. Although the handset-maker will be present at the conference, there was hardly a clue as to what it may launch. An image of the ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite (attached above) has been leaked online by the ever so reliable leakster Evan Blass. Blass has tweeted an image, showing a smartphone’s front and back side. From the looks of it, the device looks similar to many of those from the Zenfone 4 series. So its most likely 2MP + 20MP for the front cameras and 2MP +16MP for the rear cameras. While the USB port and speakers are placed on the bottom edge, the 3.5mm audio jack is on the top edge.
The tipster has even revealed some of the specifications of the smartphone. In the camera department, the smartphone will be offering 16MP dual rear cameras and 20MP dual front cameras. Nothing else has been mentioned for now. The ZenFone 5 series is getting introduced at the MWC 2018 and thus the leaks of this phone, one of them in the series, is right on time. The teaser image posted on the company’s social media handles hints the launch of Zenfone 5 devices on the show floor.
The Zenfone 5 Lite will be the first Asus smartphone to offer quad camera setup. That said, the display on the ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite will have an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. There is also a fingerprint sensor below the camera module. Additionally, you can expect to see the usual connectivity options and Android 8.0 Oreo with ZenUI in the smartphone. Whatever the case might be, we may know what Asus has up its sleeve for MWC 2018 soon.
